Another Day!

So I am still at it counting calories.  Seems like everything I grab now I look at calories then try to figure out how much I can have to allow me enough for the day.... So far I hope it has been working out as I am still not stepping on the scale to see what I am doing. Also today worked again so I figure that is my workout even though it wasn't much but it was a little!  I also restrung my gourd ukulele and finish sanded the neck of the cigar box prepping to be finished! So tomorrow I hope to work out a little more and maybe jog but will see how the weather is hopefully better then todays!

Also here is a pic of my gourd ukulele before I made the necessary adjustments I needed to!

You can see the neck is thick to the top and around the gourd I am gonna fill with a little rope binding of sorts! Well till tomorrow!

  1. That's cool! Did you construct the neck too? I've been interested in building a cigar box uke but could only do this if the neck was prefabricated.

    1. I did construct the neck it is a piece of poplar from Home depot. Not my first choice but figure start out cheap and work from there. I did get a fretboard from a supply company that was pre-cut so I wouldn't have to figure all that out I also got some fret-wire from them too! I am going to take some pics today of the cigar box progress and hopefully explain it along the way what I did. It is quite simple I don't really have too many power tools but that's ok!

  3. that gourd uke looks really cool. Did you make it or have it made?

since you are just counting calories without regard to what type of calories they are that will be pretty interesting to see the results since it is the exact opposite of what I am doing. I am not counting calories at all. I am limiting the types of food I eat and the portions. I am thinking that just counting calories would be a lot easier and less restrictive.

Deleted my first response above-- I got distracted wrote "Hey Andrew" since I saw his pic above. Sorry about that

    1. I made it from a gourd I got at Micheals cut it in half and worked it from there. The soundboard is from an old guitar as well as the tuners and nut. I got a fretboard from a supply shop already cut as well as fretwire.

As well as the calories counting I am hoping it works out I have not got on the scale yet and am waiting to do so. I will see come Sunday!
